Celtics down 3-1

The Celtics played three good quarters but the Miami Heat took over in the 4th quarter and really nailed Boston in over-time.

Let's see if the Celtics can turn this around...

Next game in Miami on Wednesday night (Thursday morning in Europe).

Boston wins game 3

Even after Celtic star point guard Rajon Rondo suffered a dislocated elbow and forced to play with one (!) arm in the fourth quarter, the Boston Celtics won game 3 in front of a noisy homecrowd at the Garden, and trimmed the Heat's lead to 2-1.

Rondo finished with 6 points and 11 assists.
What an amazing player! Coming back and playing after getting your elbow dislocated is no game!

Nice one Rondo!

Another great sight this evening was to see long-time injured Shaq back on court! He played 8 minutes but scored just 2 points.

Don't miss game 4 on mondag night!

Come on Celtics!!!

The Celtics lost game 2 in Miami on Tuesday night. In the middle of the 4th quarter Paul Pierce scored two free throws and tied the game 80-80. But after that the Celtics went ice cold and LeBron kept on scoring... Final score 91-102.

Don't miss game 3 on friday!

Boston loses game 1

The Boston couldn’t beat the Miami Heat in Miami in the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Sunday afternoon. The Heat won the game, scoring 99 and the Celtics scoring just 90 points.
One of the reasons for the Celtics loss was Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo who wasn’t playing his best and the fact that Paul Pierce got ejected with 7 minutes remaining of the final quarter.
Miami Heat megastar Dwayne Wade played an amazing game, scoring 38 points. Ray Allen was the Celtics leading scorer with 25 points (15 points from behind the 3-point line).

Game 2 is played on Tuesday night.

Poetic justice?

The day after the Boston Celtics, were eliminated from the playoffs
these showed up in the post...

POETIC JUSTICE?

The end of an era?

Is this the end of an era?
Although the Boston Celtics got off to a good start (24-16 in the first quarter), with Kevin Garnett playing very aggressive and controlled the game they, yet again, disappointed they’re fans in the 4th quarter. The Miami Heat outscored the Boston Celtics 26-14 in the final quarter, winning by 10 (97-87).
The question a lot of journalists and fans ask today is whether it was a smart move by Coach Doc Rivers keeping injured Rajon Rondo in the starting five. Rajon Rondo is by far my favorite player in the Boston Celtics, but I can’t help to think that it was a mistake by Coach Rivers to keep Rajon Rondo in the starting line-up. He should have started with Delonte West, even though he also battled with an injury, on the point guard position, taken Rajon Rondo’s injuries (back and elbow) in concern.

Rajon was a shadow of himself, only being able to pass the ball with his right hand. Rajon Rondo who averaged 11,2 assists per game this season only had three assists in game 5.

Injuries have been the biggest problem for this year’s Celtics team, in my opinion. Except for Rajon Rondo several other players have had issues with injuries this season. Big-man Shaquille O’Neal did return to the court in the playoffs but should have stayed on the bench. Captain Paul Pierce, back-up center Jermain O’Neal, back-up point guard Delonte West all had serious problem with different injuries this season and especially in the playoffs.

So, is this the end of an era?
Well, not really. Coach Rivers seems willing to return next season and I’m quite sure Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will as well. But maybe, seeing the Heat take down the Celtics will make other teams realize that it isn’t impossible.

Also, got to give a shout out to the Miami Heat who played amazing basketball.

The Celtic - Thunder trade...

...is a shame!
What up Boston?!?

Today the Boston Celtics traded superb center Kendrick Perkins and fellow sneaker freaker Nate Robinson for Nenad Krstic and Jeff Green and a future first-round draft pick.

But why? Celtics have been waiting almost a year for Kendrick to return from his knee injury and now that he's healthy and actually playing again they're trading him! And Nate is a brilliant bench player. Maybe he isn't good enough to be a starter, but he's one hell of a character and a good player.

According to ESPN and NBA.com the players and the coach of Boston Celtics are devestated to see Kendrick leave Boston. He was much appreciated and was like a family member.

To make matters even worse they also got rid of Marquis Daniels (Sacramento Kings), Semih Erdan and Luke Harangody (Cleveland Cavs). I really liked Marquis Daniels and it sad to see him go. Semih and Luke haven't proved they belong in the Celtics so I'm not too upset about those to trades.

So, we'll see what this
means to the Celtics..
