The Celtic - Thunder trade...
...is a shame!
What up Boston?!?
What up Boston?!?
Today the Boston Celtics traded superb center Kendrick Perkins and fellow sneaker freaker Nate Robinson for Nenad Krstic and Jeff Green and a future first-round draft pick.
But why? Celtics have been waiting almost a year for Kendrick to return from his knee injury and now that he's healthy and actually playing again they're trading him! And Nate is a brilliant bench player. Maybe he isn't good enough to be a starter, but he's one hell of a character and a good player.
According to ESPN and NBA.com the players and the coach of Boston Celtics are devestated to see Kendrick leave Boston. He was much appreciated and was like a family member.
So, we'll see what this means to the Celtics..

NBA All Star 2011 Dunk Contest
Watch this!
Here's the original dunk.
Blake Griffin, from the Los Angeles Clippers, jumps over a car, catches the ball and slam dunks it! OMG!
This year’s dunk contest was one of the best I’ve ever seen. A lot of imagination and props made it even more enjoyable.

Also be sure to check out Serge Ibaka's homage to Michael Jordan. Watch his dunk from beyond the free throw line! Almost better than the original.

King Monkey!!!

Ian Brown aka King Monkey was once the lead singer of legendary British alternative rock band The Stone Roses, who were one of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Stone Roses only recorded two albums but have been a major influence for bands such as Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, The Verve, Coldplay, Oasis, The Charlatans and Glasvegas and some might say (see what I did there? Oh yes…) they kick-started the Britpop movement.
One of the best songs ever PERIOD.

Karl Pilkington on the radio
That was some wise words from my favourite village idiot, Karl Pilkington. It you aren't familiar with the K-man, do yourself a favour and download An Idiot Abroad! I's probably the best thing that's been on tv EVER!

Liam's back!
One of my all-time favorite bands is Oasis. At the peak of their success the truly were the biggest band in the world with songs such as Wonderwall, Don’t look back in anger and Cigarettes and alcohol, and I was a big fan. The charisma of their lead-singer was something at least I hadn’t seen before.
On the 29th of August in 2009 Liam announced that Oasis was no more. The two brothers, Liam and Noel, have always been known to have fight and they had in the past threatened to leave the band, but this time it was for real. I would be lying if I said I was surprised or even upset by the split, but none the less I still wanted them to stay in the band.
Since the split Liam has started his own clothing line (Pretty Green) and has now announced that he’s about to release an album with his new band, Beady Eye. Except for Liam Gallagher, Beady Eye consists of former Oasis bandmates, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.
The album is set to be released in early 2011, so be one the look-out!
Huge fines after hooliganism at hockey game
DIF and AIK have to pay record high fines after the chaos before, during and after the derby on the 22nd of December 2010.
AIK, who were the home team and arranged the game at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, have to pay 200 000 SEK ($ 25000) in fines to the Swedish Ice-hockey Association (SIF). DIF gets away with fining 125 000 SEK ($ 15500).
According to the Swedish Police 21 crimes occurred and 32 people were pointed out, but not arrested, to be the troublemakers. Riots and fights occurred both inside and outside the arena and firework and smoke bombs were thrown at the opposing team’s supporters inside the arena.
Both clubs are disappointed in the huge fines and accuse SIF of not getting the whole picture. They’re saying that the fines will not help to solve the problems of hooliganism surrounding these two clubs. Mats Larsson, from DIF, even goes as far as to say it will only increase trouble at their games, since they now have less money to pay for security.

Banksy does LA
Pictures from Highsnobiety.com
EDIT
EDIT
According to Perez Hilton.com the Banksy artwork on Sunset Boulevard has now been painted over by CBS, who owns the billboard. But apparently, the billboard clients The Light Group, who were flattered by Banksy painting over their add, are now furious that their add was taken down! Haha, seems CBS aren't fans of Banksy's.
